History
Created in 1905 by Jules TASSIN, the company TASSIN & GIROUY disposed of a leather factory for kid-skin production, on Traversière street in Paris.
In 1940 the company was divided in two parts: The Enterprises J. TASSIN, dealing with furnishing leather and the company GIROUY, dealing with upholstering of office articles.
In1985, the latter, in the meantime renamed in GIROUY-PELLERIN, amalgamates again with the Enterprises J. TASSIN. This new company is today one of the main upholsters and suppliers of furnishing and designing leather in Europe.
The enterprise consists of two supplementing each other departments: leather goods and art finishing.
Leather goods
Being a specialist in the sphere of upholstery leather, TASSIN produces its leather according to the specifications in different European leather factories. The rigorous skin selection and the quality of the production confer the TASSIN leather an international reputation.
The leather is available in 200 colours; it matches for furnishing, aviation, automobiles and marine, and corresponds to the regulations, specific to each kind of industry.
Art finishing
Combining tradition and modernism, the TASSIN ateliers on finishing, gilding and painting perpetuate in Paris a know-how of the highest level in room dressing, interior design and also stylish and contemporary furniture.
TASSIN disposes of an old collection of plates for leather crimping (Henri II and Cordoba), and also of gilding presses, allowing to create or to restore the most rare models.
Everyday TASSIN is working, together with the well-known contemporary decorators, on the most prestigious international sites. |
